Victims

Much has been said, and rightfully so, about the calamitous hate-driven terrorist attack that killed nine black churchgoers at a Bible study.

At this time, I find myself unable to adequately add to them. My heart is heavy.

I hope yours is, too.

So come out on Monday night, if it is at all possible. This a time for grief, a time for paying respects, a time for crying out at a lack of justice, a time for demanding justice – and it’s important that we do so together collectively, and in public, rather than merely as individuals in our separate homes. This is the kind of time that community is for. And bring your kids if you can. They need to see this.
